Hello! I’m Kristin Turner and I am a licensed therapist and addiction counselor with over fourteen years of experience working with adults facing challenges related to substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders. I see my role as one of guiding you towards achieving your goals, expanding self-awareness and obtaining peace of mind. Together we will collaborate, moving inward to heal and nurture past hurts. My approach is integrative, as I tailor therapy according to your goals and needs in a safe and nurturing space.
I understand therapy can be intimidating, while at the same time knowing the power of transformation possible through the process. Let’s work together to make the changes you want and deserve to thrive in your life!
While I am originally from Michigan, I have lived in New Orleans for over thirty years and call it home. Living through Hurricane Katrina and seeing the effects it had on the people of our city, brought me to the decision to go back to school and pursue a Master of Social Work from Tulane University. It wasn’t just the devastation of the landscape but the profound shift in the psyche of our citizens. Realizing that all of us go through times of need, I felt compelled to make helping others my mission. I know firsthand how self-reflection can lead to healing and a more fulfilled life.
Send me an email with any questions you may have, or give me a call, so we can talk about your goals and determine if we're a fit.
I hope to hear from you!
